The Urban Decay Show Pony Palette Is Ready to Party - Makeup and Beauty Blog
The food, generosity and general merriment in the air make the holidays a great excuse to par-tay!
In keeping with that spirit, tomorrow I'm meeting some good friends from college for grub in the metropolis (nosotros try to see effectually this fourth dimension every year).
Because we can't hang out that often, I kinda feel like getting all dolled up.
I'm thinking of going with something sassy, like this shimmery teal and peach look I tried today using Urban Decay's Testify Pony Palette.
It's 1 of four holiday 2009 looks the Urban Disuse geniuses cooked up in their yummy makeup kitchen.
I used near everything listed above with a few exceptions — I left out Urban Decay Rocks (wasn't in the mood for the gems), and substituted MAC Blushbaby for UD Quickie Afterglow.
I started with a layer of Urban Disuse Sin Primer Potion beneath the shadows to increment their staying power and added Urban Decay Skyscraper Mascara for actress oomph on my lashes.
A few things occurred to me while I was working my way through the look…
- Snatch eyeshadow causes glitter blizzards! The glitter fallout got all over my brown bone and crease. If you lot decide to give information technology a try, consider applying your heart makeup start, and clean up any devious glitter before applying concealer and/or foundation.
- Try a variation of this wait using a gilded brown shadow in the crease. Getting the teal shadow, Painkiller, to blend into Snatch was a big pain in the you-know-what; I think it might have to do with how much the colors contrast. Next fourth dimension I try this await, I plan to pop a golden brown into my pucker — possibly i like NARS Bronzing Powder in Laguna or MAC Eyeshadow in Soba. Either one should smooth the transition from the teal to pink.
- Applying Naked Lipstick with a lip brush is pure genius! Virtually of the time I slap this rosy pink lipstick on straight from the tube, but that tin can expect thick and heavy. After seeing it today, Naked looks so much prettier when applied with a lip brush. I think it's worth the extra time information technology takes to do, resulting in a lighter, more natural lip.
Are you planning any vacation makeup looks? Let me know what you've got brewing in the hopper. 🙂
Your friendly neighborhood dazzler addict,
Karen
