Pages have light tanning and foxing throughout. Pencil inscription and sticker to front pastedown and endpaper. Boards accept moderate shelf-clothing with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Light sunning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Wear marks overall.

Boards take mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Soft crushing to spine ends. Moderate sunning to spine and edges. Brown stained mark to front board. Lettered and with a clover pattern in red on the forepart comprehend. The stiff carte du jour covers have some moderate border wear. The covers are sunned and have some occasional marking. There is an ink stain to the the rear cover. Internally the pages are complete just are spotted. With poems defended to Russian ballerina Lydia Lopokova, wife of John Maynard Keynes and Virginia Woolf. Woolf noted in her Diary, 'Clive's poems have gone today to the Reviewers; our publishing day being December the 1st' (Woolmer 12). The rear lower cover has a sticker on the verso from Madge Jenison'due south Sunwise Turn Bookshop. In her autobiography 'Sunwise Plough : A human one-act of bookselling', Jenison defended the books to 'Mr Clive Bong, who, though I have never seen him, founded this bookshop because he wrote a volume'.
